April 28th 1990, Frans and Paulette Vandeputte-Lalande inaugurate their hotel-restaurant. She's from Honville, a hamlet close to Strainchamps, she studied at the catering school in Bouillon. He was born in Roselare and studied at the catering school in De Panne. After having worked together for ten years (with Michel Haquin) in Brussels and then in the luxurious atmosphere of "Le Trèfle à Quatre", next to the lake of Genval, they decide to go to Strainchamps and to renovate what everyone calls "The Château" and to transform it in a hotel-restaurant in the belgian ardennes.

Career

Clerk of kitchen in Brussels by Michel Haquin from 1980 to 1985 Sous-chef in "Château du Lac de Genval" from 1985 to 1990. In May 1990 they inaugurate their Hôtel-Restaurant MICHELIN : 1 star and 3 forks (since 1996) GAULT & MILLAU : 15 and 3 toques (2008) Since over twenty years , Frans and Paulette are welcoming you with enthusiasm and professionalism .  Their goal is to offer you an unforgetable moment of pleasure, sharing and discovering, always with talent and passion .
